dandoon96
Experiment : osmosis. Repeats: 5 concentrations: 7Measured both mass and length change !!!What do you suggest I use to process each dataMyllo i teacher said a percentage change graph how on earth do I do thatAlso I don't get the controlled and uncontrolled variables!! I put a paper on top of each test tube so nothing evaporates,, I didn't control temp of room??? What else??And what type of limitations and improvements can I mentionals Edited December 20, 2011 by Summer Glau please don't use text speak. thanks! Summer Glau
You could take an average of all the trials you did, since you did several trials. You could measure the percentage change in mass before and after the osmosis experiment. Divide the change by the original mass/length. Read this: http://www.csgnetwork.com/percentchangecalc.htmlFor limitations and improvements, just think of all the things that you didn't control that would have affected your experiment. You can talk about limitations in your equipment available (not precise enough, etc.) or things that you should have considered while designing the lab. Do some research on factors that affect osmosis. You then have to mention how it would have affected your results. This is your IA lab so IBS can't help you out too much...
