Taylor Svete
I really need some ideas to do for my IA... my teacher said stat projects don't score well so I'd like to avoid that... maybe something with trend lines though? Please give me something to start with! Reply
Drake Glau
I really don't get why your teacher would say that, I got a perfect score for mine and it included chi-squared and the correlation coefficient which are both stats... You can literally do anything. Anything you THINK affect each other. Speed of a car and fuel mileage? National debt and the DOW standings? # of hours doing x affecting x about that person? Might help Reply

Drake Glau
For math studies you only learn the linear line so you would have to maybe come up with variables that you think would have a linear relation. You have to have at least 2 mathematical processes though so you're going to need to calculation a correlation as well...There's really no way to just completely avoid stats. The class is almost all about stats. Probability, sets, chi squared, correlations, linear line, it's not all stats but it can all be worked into stats O.o Reply
dessskris
yeah, I thought stats is the only thing you can do in a Math St IA. what do you like? I like music, so for example I can find out how many people like rock music, pop music, hip hop, country, RnB, etc etc and do some manipulation I don't know (I don't know because idk what you should write in a Math St IA) or I can survey how many people listen to music for how many hours, etc. Reply
