lucy25
I currently face the choice of whether I do A Levels or IB. I plan to go to university in the UK and so which do UK universities prefer?Which qualification is more likely to get you into a good UK university? Abu
A-Levels. I don't really need to say anything else. A-Levels are easier to complete than the IB, and British Universities prefer them to the IB. 1 Reply
Sandwich
A-Levels. I don't really need to say anything else. A-Levels are easier to complete than the IB, and British Universities prefer them to the IB.I quite agree with the above. The only reason to make an exception is if you're really very unsure about what you want to pursue at Uni to the extent that you need to take the IB in order to leave your options open - that's really the only advantage of the IB that you can take (potentially, because it assumes your choices also fit with the compulsory categories!) more subjects.Otherwise my advice would = that of Aboo Reply

Supib
Trust me, A levels are not only easier, but they also give you an advantage over an IB student when applying to study in the UK. Reply
Bishup
Trust me, A levels are not only easier, but they also give you an advantage over an IB student when applying to study in the UK. They don't give you an advantage over an Ib student at all. If a student has predicted grade of 3 As or 38 points they will just as good of a chance of getting it's not a sake of being given an advantage it's just having A levels itself is an advantage in terms of meeting the grade requirements.
