no predicted grade for self-taught subject! application to oxford

I am interested in applying Experimantal Psychology in Oxford. The thing that is bothering me is I have chinese A1 as a self-taught subject. In other words, my school is unable to give me a predicted grade on this subject... Will this lower the chance of getting an interview chance?

I doubt that. You should ask your referee to indicate that due to the self-taught nature of the subject they are unable to provide a predicted grade and possibly also something along the lines of them being confident about your ability to perform in that subject to the same level as you do in the other ones.

No worries, bellashley, just ask them to predict your other subjects and do what Cynthia said. However, haven't you taken any exams in Chinese? I know most people in my school doing self-taught A1s had at least some kind of a mentor (outside of school) who also graded their papers and exams. If you have a mentor, you could ask him to give you a predicted grade.
