Hi ppl :D)

Does anybody know where can I find reliable statistical data about anorexia nervosa?

I need to know:

How many people are ill (with distinction for females and males)

How many of affected die

How many recover after family therapy

and how many recover after group therapy

Thanks in advance :P

Hey. Is this for an extended essay? Here is a book that might help you. I'll look into my uni resources tomorrow and hopefully will find a nice review. Odds are most of the stats will be mainly done in the US/UK so estimating this kind of stuff is quite problematic.

yesss it is for my extended essay :D

Ok cool. btw there are 3 excellent psychology essays on my blog so definitely grab those to see what's expected of you if you're shooting for an A.

Here is a review of anorexia in the 20th century

A review on eating disorders (google book)

Both are reputable sources and should contain the stats you need :P

If you are planning on including effectiveness of therapy types on eating disorders check out this review

What is your research topic specifically btw?

And one last thing: Google Scholar is your friend

Thank you very much for your help :() I am really happy that you responded

I am not sure which topic I'll choose it's very hard for me because I am not taking Psychology as my DP subject and my supervisor is not supportive of me , literally he doesn't help me at all. I am going to look through materials that you posted :( and thank you very much again :)
