  1. ooh thanks ) but i thought that Russia withdrew because they were forced by Kaiser Wilhelm II who imposed the treaty on them ( at least my teacher explained that to us.. but i dont look up to him very much )

  3. Why did Bolshevik revolution break out in Russia in 1917?? Was it a reason why Russia withdrew from the WW1?? Or maybe was it becauce the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk?? My teacher said that Kaiser Wilhlem II imposed the Trety of Brest-Litovsk on Russia and it forced them to withdraw, but why had he done so? What was the purpose??

    Look what I have found : "The use of proportional representation meant any party with a small amount of support could gain entry into the Reichstag. This led to many small parties, some extremist, building political bases within the system." How to understand that? How party could gain entry into Reichstag if received few seats?

    Ok !! I think I got it.. so since no party was able to attain an overall majority, the parties in the Reichstaf had to co-operate with each other ( I mean those which got the most seats during elections). But if it happened that a party achieved 50 % seats, it would have been able to rule on its own, am I right?? So the parties that achieved the most seats, formed a coalition government and they worked through together, yes?? THANK YOU

    System of proportional representation existed in the Weimar Republic and it is thought to be one of its greatest weaknesses because my book says that it prevented any party to gain overall majority (???) and no party was able to conduct its programme.. i dont understand it so no party was ruling at all??

    Hi I have some questions concerning Weimar Repulic, I hope you will help me:) 1) Why Germany became Republic after WW1?? Was it because it was thought ( Wilson) that peace can be only attained through democracy??
