ninety
What do you guys think of the place that they name the 'valley of ashes'? How do you guys envisage it? Personally, I picture it as a dead, dry and desolate desert which has been ruined by the dreadful, non-existant morals of a society which follows the infamous 'American Dream'.That's pretty much like the way I imagined it in my head! I'd always thought of it as a rural area, something like a ghost town. And dead, dry, desolate and dusty (wow, see my amazing alliteration and use of plosives there?!) kim luffy
Haha nice alliteration there And that's how i imagined it as well. It's like a zombie area because of how the people in it are described. Don't forgot T.J. Eckleberg (or something like that) a metaphorical character who symbolises god looking down on the decay of the american dream and such. It's scary because he just watches and doesn't do anything.
