NoShii
So here's the thing, in my school I practice soccer, volleyball and basketball but as I only practice but refuse to play matches, they say it does not count as CAS (only people in the team can use matches as CAS, but not practice)... But the thing is, if I do a sport outside school, can it be considered action hours? I've been practicing parkour (with an stablished group that has someone in charge, not just random friends fooling around) so I wanted to know if I could use that for extra CAS hours Reply
ibmonkey
yes in my opinion your outside activities would count as CAS. if building houses in underprivileged countries counts i am sure your parkour would aswell.anyform of COMMUNITY ACTION OR SERVICE IS APPLICABLE. i know from my school it is possible to do anything that means something. hope this helps Reply
Abu
'Parkour' is disputed. Some call it an art, others call it a sport. When I trying to get a sport approved for my CAS, my CAS coordinator said that I should have set aims and goals that I had to achieve, which was easy in my case since I was doing cycling. How are you going to set goals for parkour? The number of buildings you jump or how many fences you cross while running in a frenzy? If you do get this approved by your coordinator, make sure you get your forms signed by the person who's the head since they'll be your supervisor.
