Vvi
Arabic isn't an easy language to learn, so if you already know how to read then you're off to a good start. No one in my school takes ab initio Arabic because they offer only SL and HL. But ab initio exams are not hard in general, they don't expect you to know a lot since you've only studied the language for 2 years. Students in my class take French ab initio, and have to be able to write 100 word postcards to people about their holidays or similar things. However, each year there are students that have studied the language before that still take ab initio, although it's technically not allowed. Therefore the mark boundaries are still high, and it's not easy to get a 7 just like that. Reply
