WHAT!?! but I actually find it quite interesting. you can't exactly define love and so i am going deep into the subject. anyway, to my point.. do you know any good artists with paintings which relates to the theme love?? I found some like the Surrealist Rob (something) and he has real nice paintings. but i can't seem to find more! so anyone want to help out ?? Zasxee
I don't take IB Art, (I take IB Theatre) but I know some artists that portray the idea of love in their artwork: - Jim Dine (he's more American pop art) - Frieda Kahlo has some paintings that portray love in a painful way - Dalí is a strech, but you could use some of his works.... I know there's more, but that's all I can think of on the top of my head... Reply

Mrs.Pattinson
Wow love, at first I thought "trite" but it is an emotion, and that's pretty broad wow. Oswaldo Guayasamin. His work is about suffering...but if you look into his middle age work, you see him doing portraits of poor families, and it shows "LOVE" because regardless of all the poverty, the mother is still in care and love for her sons. It's a great way to show love in my perspective. Reply

saritaoel
Wow, I think I'm late but since its your theme... Check out Marc Chagall if you haven't. Most of his paintings relate to love! They feature his wife as a bride. This is the official website: www.chagallpaintings.org He's my favorite artist... Hope I've helped. I'm very interested in your theme! It's hard to pull it off, but I'm sure you have. Reply
