Pj Sorensen
Please help me organize my thoughtsand how to go about this. I've foolishly chosen HIstory HL and in class I pleaded to the teacher for a simple, clear and cut, research question and he gave me this: This is my worst subject and I am doing poorly in it. Please help. "To what extent were the German and Japanese concentration camps similar?" How do I go about it? Reply
Gaby
Google both and start researching? That's where all research starts, especially if you don't have access to a university-type database, which you probably don't. Just start reading and making notes and you'll get clarification and ideas. Reply

IB_taking_over
First, go find a copy of the IA markband. This will help you understand what exactly the May 2016 IA is about. It's not a straight forward research paper, it's more of a project. As far as doing research, start with google and wikipedia to gain a working understanding of what you are dealing with. From there go find some books/articles/reliable information on your topic. Take notes and make sure you indicate where you got them from... it will save time later as you try to write it and are not hunting for the book you got it from. 1 Reply
