dweebdoingib
Hi all, I do Lit SL and just did my IOC today. The texts in my school are Wilfred Owen poetry and Othello, and the text I picked was Dulce et Decorum est. If you don't know what it is that is fine, but just a bit of context we did this poem extensively in class and as such I had a lot to say and ran over time, and was unable to conclude. Was stopped at 8 minutes when I was about 80% done. Does anyone know how much this will affect marks? Also, there was a part where I wanted to mention the effect of a spondee but said trochee instead. How much will this affect marks? All comments appreciated. Thanks! Isobellee
Hi! I am not too sure about the time, I assume it might knock a point or two off your organisation criteria but that should be all. Our teacher made us listen to a demo IOC and the boy talking mixed the authors up on a couple of occasions and scored a very good mark so I wouldn't worry about that! Well done on completing your IOC 2 Reply

King112
But the IOC limit is 15 minutes...?That is correct. But sometimes students tend to get hyper excited and forget the time. A few seconds (upto 30 I believe) is acceptable. After that, you lose a point or two on organisation.Cheers,King112 Reply
