Guest
Hey guys, I am working on my TOK Essay and my title is: "To what extent does Japanese xenophobia as described by historians and documentary films pertaining to the 1930s and 1940s shape my views of Japan?" What do you guys think? Any suggestions on how I should tackle the topic? Regards, Kenneth Reply
mechnight
Umm yes. Stop it, right now, because you cannot choose the essay topic by yourself. It needs to be from the list of the 6 titles prescribed by IB, which you can find here. 3 Reply
Guest
Hello, Thank you very much for your reply, however apparently this year we have to formulate our own titles from the prescribed ones (To limit plagiarism and such)I did so with my TOK Professor; he might be wrong though. Sofia.
Yes, you're not supposed to actually answer the question in the topic, but which topic are you writing about? Your question still has to be connected to the prescribed title. Reply

AOK's: History and Indigenous Knowledge SystemIdentified Knowers: Japanese Society and Historians RLS: World War 1 and 2, Xenophobia in the 21st Century and my own PE (Traveling to Japan) Regards, Kenneth Reply
Sofia.
Your question is too specific. I'd check this blog out, it helped me out a lot: https://toktrump.wordpress.com/2014/09/22/4-with-reference-to-two-areas-of-knowledge-discuss-the-way-in-which-shared-knowledge-can-shape-personal-knowledge/ Reply

Blackcurrant
Just click on each title in the bar, on that site. The information is there, but for some reason not on the opening page. 1 Reply
