Emilia1320
Hi I'm student who has done quite decently on my studies on Pre-DP, with best grade on mathematics and chemistry and second best on physics. However I find myself severely struggling on literature and also history and social studies, but especially literature. Problem is I'm not very motivated on them. I just can't bring myself to read something totally irrelevant which is not likely to benefit me any way. It's some deep-coded attitude of mine and as such pretty irrational. I dislike when something is not exact, and those things are also very uncomfortable to me. With history my problem is also motivation although it's not that bad and my history grades have been decent. So how to learn to step out from my comfortable zone? sushichan*-*
I am in my final year of IB and I still struggle with motivation in History and my languages, but I repeat to myself that I can do it and remind myself of the good feeling of learning and not just for the grade. When I am stuck with something in these subjects, I find IBsurvival very helpful. 1 Reply
