I am focusing on the significance of the minor characters such as the Manager, the Father, as well as the Boarders (the people that rent the Samsa's home). I am comparing the significance of these characters in each of the 3 parts in the book. However, my difficulty is trying to come up with a thesis. PLEASE HELP! Sandwich Posted May 21, 2014 Report Share Posted May 21, 2014 Well you don't strictly need a 'thesis' but it seems quite simple to me, no? What do you think the significance of the minor characters is? Presumably you must have some thoughts on this as you picked to write about it. If not, then just write the body of the essay so you get all of your points and examples of the role of the minor characters, and then go back and write your introduction later on. Once you've done the research then you'll be able to draw a conclusion, retrospectively write and introduction and if it makes you happy you can include a precisely worded 'thesis statement'. As said earlier, complete your body and then formulate the thesis statement. Make sure it's short and crisp, yet covering all sub-topics covered.Good luck!
