Chio1012 Posted May 9, 2014 Report Share Posted May 9, 2014 If you can borrow a copy of the Maths SL textbook - the oxford course companion one - then it has a good explanation of the topic with examples and if you need, GDC working out as well.If you have specific questions about areas of bivariate statistics then feel free to ask them here and we can try to answer them. But basically bivariate stats is the study of the correlation between two things, for example weight and height of a group of people. It doesn't necessarily mean that one variable is causing the other, though. You will need to know about the product-moment coefficient ® and the line of regression, which is classified under the GDC work for this chapter. As I said before, the course companion goes through step by step how to obtain these and also interprets what the gradient and y-intercept means for example, so it really helps.
