Should I take IB Music HL or Computer science HL?

Hi I am grade 10 and I am starting IB next year.

I have decided to take:

Math SL

English SL

Chinese Sl

Geography HL

Physics HL

for the last HL subject, I am thinking of IB music HL or Computer science HL.

But I don't know which one to take, because I like both music and computer.

So I want ask questions about IB music.

  • How much knowledge should I have, to get good score in IB music HL?
  • Around how many people get 7 in IB music.
  • I am not that good in essay and writing, but can I still get good score in IB music HL?
  • I cannot really play Piano, but I am good in guitar and drums. Is it still possible?

If you know.....

  • Which one has more work?
  • Which subject is harder?

Thank you!

the music IB has a performance bit (i use to take it then i switched to bio because the teacher was bad) but most of it is theory. If you never did any music theory and history don't take music HL. Computer science goes from the beginning so even if you have little knowledge you'll be fine. Also it depends on what you want to do at universities. Computer science is more useful to have unless you want to study music (that's not what it looks like).

hope i helped

Computer Science HL is a breeze for people who already know coding (proficiency in C, Java etc.).

Music HL is a breeze for people musically talented.

To judge which one will be easier, consider which one you understand more? (They're just random jibberish, but if you kinda understand the vocab and logic you are good to go)

char[] cff = new char[5];

for (i = 0; i<=RandomSystem.UI.RANDOMINTEGERID; i++){

try{

this.add(i, new RandomClass(cff){

@Override

private int randommethod(){

return RandomClass.RANDOMINTEGER;

}};

);

} catch (Exception e){

RandomDebugSystem.print(e);

}

}

OR

Syncopation, portamento, rubato, crescendo, ad lib, allegretto

basso continuo, binary form, ternary, Prokofiev, fermata

Gregorian chants are religious.

Romantic composers such as Chopin

Indian music consists of the use of ragas.

Greek Phrygian mode

The perfect cadence of the flutes in bar 34 is syncopated, contrasting the clarinets creating rhythmic juxtaposition, and also creating dissonance with the appregios of the diminished seventh on F-sharp minor, reflecting tonalities usually associated with Impressionistic music.

Edit:

Computer Science HL is based on psuedo-code I believe? (never taken the course) Don't worry if you don't know all the languages in da world.
