David14
What's is the difference between the old and new sllabus (the new had its first examinations in 2013)?Will this syllabus change affect the exams (paper 1 and paper 2) soon and should be wary of this change when doing old past papers because of this? cjy
They took out text D out of paper 1 and replaced it with another reading comprehension, and included a written task. They also made the syllabus more clear on what you have to learn. HL B also now has 2 essays to write instead of 1 Reply
vals
Is it possible already to find an updated version of the syllabus online (or, in alternative, a document which summarizes all of the changes that have been made)? Reply
Gaby
http://www.ibsurvival.com/files/file/1545-language-b-2013/ syllabus is here. It'd be pretty weird if it wasn't up yet since two exam sessions have already happened according to it. Reply
David14
So let's say I'm practicing vocabulary for paper 1.Should I only focus on the topics (global issues, social relationships) only? Or should I use previous past papers as a guide in what I should be prepared for/study for? Thanks 1 Reply

Oh my, I can't believe I've actually gone so stupid :/ When I first read the thread I thought they'd updated the syllabus... But that'd be none of my concern even if it were, because I'd still be looking up to the version which was designed for my exam session... I blame this on my late night studying affair hahaI don't need the syllabus, but thank you for your intervention Reply
