Guest wanderluster
Does playing in a concert band count as action in CAS? Would it count if was in your school's band program? Also, would a relief trip count as service? (I'm going to Ecuador for two weeks to dig a trench and build a well). 1 Reply
Emmi
Band usually counts for CAS (usually either creativity or action, depending on how you want it to count). Yes, a relief trip would count as service. If you have any doubts about any activity counting or not, just ask your CAS adviser. 1 Reply

J500
I think that band would not be counted as action (unless you're also dancing etc.), since action is about physcial exertion contributing to a HEALTHY lifestyle. However, you can count it as creativity. The relief project is definitely service as it's a voluntary activity and invovles you helping the community in some way.But again, like Emmi said...talk to the CAS coordinator to clarify your doubts. He/she is the best person to seek clarification from regarding such matters. Edited November 4, 2013 by Jane500 Reply
