Samster
For International Relations, I would definitely recommend Economics for starters and I'm glad that you're taking Higher Level.I myself don't take Geo so I'm not too sure what's in the syllabus but I would recommend History because I have learnt so much about International Relations in the 20th century. 1 Reply

Lucas Mokwa
For me, I am thinking about IR in UK univ. I take:English A SLKorean A HLMath SLEconomics HLGeography HLPhysics SL Do you take 2 native languages? Is this the Bilingual Diploma?I would prefer to study German B in HL, but I have to be prepared to Germany as it requires Math or a Natural Science in HL. So I'm taking Bio HL.What do you think about Geo core? Is it relevant for IR? Edited October 25, 2013 by Lucas Mokwa 1 Reply
sarahlouise
I would do History if possible, instead of Geography. Economics is a good choice for sure. 1 Reply
nid811
I plan to do International Relations and I'm taking:English A HLHistory HLGerman B HLFrench B SLBiology SLMaths SLAs you can see, I have English and History as higher levels plus I have two languages. I think an aptitude for English and for languages is very important for IR. I also think Econ would be helpful but I tried it for a couple of lessons at the start of the course and hated it so I switched to History 1 Reply
