Going To Pre-IB This Fall!

Hi everyone!

I am new to this website. I am going to the Pre-IB/MYP program this fall!

I was just wondering if there are any tips and tricks to really excel this year at school?!

I know to not procrastinate but any tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated! (Also supplies needed for MYP would be great!)

Hi! Okay so just make to sure to really stay on top of things, go through your notes every night and make sure you ask questions in class

Do not play the school game. Learn for the sake of learning.

Be careful with the Personal Project thing. That was a class we kind of adopted for a while in my school, it was really weird and a load of work... Try to enjoy your classes (up to where you can) and don't give up if you don't understand something.

Having just finished MYP last year, here are some tips that could help:

• Pay attention in classes, like, a lot. I've aced tons of tests just by paying attention in class, without studying.
• Ask a lot of questions, because your DP studies will depend on your MYP knowledge.
• Try finishing your Personal Projects early, you need all the time you have.

As for materials, I recommend these:

• A ruler, you need one for the Maths and most sciences.
• A highlighter.
• A scientific calculator.
• A GDC if you're going to the 10th grade.
• Blue and black pens.
• A couple of pencils.
• 2 notebooks.
