Amir Palermo
Hey,I'm taking Economics SL and I wanted to confirm something. Is it true that our commentaries must originate from different parts of the world? Like one from Malaysia and the other from Mexico, etc. Or would it not matter?Oh and I wanted to know whether an online newspaper article counts as a newspaper source or a website source. Thanks in advance! Reply
Erudite
It doesn't matter. That's defo not true.My teacher says it depends on where you get the article from, so if it's from a newspaper website, then it's a newspaper source, if from a blog, etc., it's a website source. But you should generally only pick newspaper ones anyway. 1 Reply
Amir Palermo
Coolio! Thanks a bunch! My macro economic article about unemployment is from an Al-Jazeera news website. I'm guessing it counts as an online source then, and not an article? Or should I put it as a "news article"... ? Reply

There's no need to specify on the cover page. Within the commentary itself, I just refer to it as "the article" even when I've picked it up from an online source. It's a small semantic point that makes absolutely no difference. Reply
