does the abstract for a HL psychology IA have a maximum/minimum word limit? if yes what is it?

You can find all this information in the psychology guide, for future reference Here it is though:

For HL the word count is between: 1500-2000.

"The word count does not include supplementary information such as abstract, title page, references, section headings, parenthetical citations, graphs, charts and appendices."

The syllabus does not seem to mention anything specific about a word limit for the abstract only for the whole report as Rainbow pointed out.

To be on the safe side I would make it between 150 and 200 words. You should not technically be penalized for the abstract being too short or long but it should just include all the important information. Abstracts are supposed to be concise and 150-200 words should be plenty to summarize your experiment.
