What is respect

Respect is acknowledging that a person's opinions/morals/actions are not subject to judgement unless they directly harm another person. so from this, disrespect would be not acknowledging the rights of a person to their own opinions, morals, and actions

So for example, respect for a teacher is acknowledging that even though you may hate their teaching methods, they went must have studied how to teach at some point, where as you, the student have not. So, the teacher has more knowledge in the topic than the student.

But if there is a mass murderer out on the loose, respect goes to those he/she is hurting because these actions are intentionally harming people, and violating these peoples' rights to opinions, etc.

At least that's how I see it! :yep:
