Masoomali fatehkia
As you all know, there has been a change in the language B syllabus which starts first examinations in 2013, In my school, the language B that we study is only examined in the nov session. That means although I started IB in August 2011 (and I am graduating in 2013) I will be doing my language B exams in nov 2012. So do I have to follow the new syllabus or the old one?? Our teacher says that we have to follow the new syllabus because we graduated in 2013, although our language B exams are in nov 2012. I am confused. Does any one have any idea which syllabus we are to follow???
The Economist
I am quite sure you have to follow the old syllabus. The date noted on the new syllabus does not represent the year the students are supposed to get their IB diplomas but the year they are taking their exams.Take a look at the new syllabus: http://www.ibo.org/diploma/assessment/subjectoutlines/documents/d_2_ablan_gui-out_1102_1_e.pdfIt says "First Examinations 2013", and you are taking your exam in 2012. I'd suggest you talk to your coordinator as you don't want to be following the wrong syllabus.
