wallflower018
So my topic for my Bio IA is the effect of water concentration on the rate of enzyme reaction. But I have no idea how to even conduct an experiment on this topic! I need help with an experiment for the topic and what materials I need in order to conduct the experiment. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Reply
Avan:)
Are you sure it is water concentration? There are loads of experiments about the effect of 'concentration' on the rate of enzyme reactions, and you could look at either the enzyme or substrate concentration. I don't think that water is either a substrate or an enzyme, but the closest I could find was: http://sjhoward.co.uk/biology/hydrolysis-of-gelatin-by-protease-enzymes that is probably useless, but anyway Reply
kim luffy
I agree with Avan. You can find something other then how water concentration can affect enzyme activity. You could find out something like how temperature can affect enzyme activity or how a high/low level of a particular substrate can affect enzyme activity.
