EGS
Could I do an IA on what sex is better at remembering random sequences of numbers? My controlled variable would be the same sequences. My Independent variable would be the different sexes.Could I do this as a Biology IA? Would this work? Reply
Sabs44
How would you control other variables? One example (among many I could list) would be age. Reply
kiwi.at.heart
One big problem I could see with this is in CE is finding literature to compare your results to. If you could find anything on this, it might be alright, but i doubt there would be anything out there suitable. Also I would question whether you would get any statistically different results between the two sexes because in my experience, gender often isnt significant for peoples memory. You could possibly look at age instead, since i would guess there would be more of a difference, but i would ask your teacher about this. dessskris
also, your independent variables must take at least 5 different values. in this case, there can only be two (male/female) so this is not an appropriate topic. Reply
Sabs44
Agreed with Desy. You'd have a bar graph, and it wouldn't be suitable. Reply
