Guest Mo Rahman
My teacher gave us homework today to convert some phrases into 'impersonnelle'. One example she gave us was: Si je ne laisse pas couler l'eau en me brossant les dents, je consomme moins d'eau which changes into Si on ne laisse pas couler l'eau en se brossant les dents, on consomme moins d'eau. However, the lesson ended before she could give us the actual rules to use so I have no idea how to convert the rest of the statements. I've tried searching for them on the internet and found nothing. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you Reply
freezies
Instead of subject je,you use on,which means (one)as in a person eg. One brushes his teeth in the morning. And for on,you conjugate the verb for third person,i.e il/elle. Reply
Peanut Butter Jelly
yes, the french like to use the pronoun "ONE". It's a more general term, instead of using "Ils" and the conjugation is quite simple. For reflexive verbs use "se" + verbFor other verbs conjugate like the 2nd person (Il/Elle) Reply
