oh snappppydoodle!

from a brief read the topic seems complex and highly philosophical, not to mention you NEED to have a basic backgroundFreudknowledge.

Seemed like someone watched Un Chien Andalou? =P

I'm surprised that you're doing this in class tbh. I never went anywhere near something like this, although I would have liked to. It sounds to me like the analysis of a film at the subconscious level, and I don't understand how that kind of analysis is applicable or relevant to what one would do in IB Film.

I think that psychoanalysis in movies can be understood in many ways. Lots of movies focus on psychoanalysis of characters in a movie or a group of people. Good example is Kurosawa's 'Rashomon' that exemines causes of the behaviour of people involved in a murder.Basically in every good movie (if it's not a Tarantino's flick) there is some psychoanalysis.
