kylefish44
Hi everyone,I'm working (hurriedly!) on my Math Studies IA and I am trying to figure out how and if I can run a Chi-Squre Test of Independence on my data. My data consists of three variables: military expenditure (% GDP), education expenditure (% GDP), and literacy rate of an assortment of countries. It's in an attached spreadsheet. If I can run it, what should my table look like? Is it possible to do a 3 X 1 grid? Thanks so much for your help -- I really appreciate it.Rounded Compiled Data.xls Reply
Drake Glau
You should only have 2 variables. So I'd pick two only. Any combination of those 3 looks good to be honest, just pick 2. Chi-Squared requires 100 data points. And you should not have a 3x1 grid. I'd try to group them to get at least a 3x3 grid. You can group in any quantity when doing your frequency tables for the observed and expected values. Can't really look at your data at the moment sorry. Just thought I'd drop some tips here about the test. Reply
