fireinyourhole
Hi - I was wondering what it takes to get into Berkeley (Engineering). Im in 11th grade now and my IB score is decent (all 7's and one 4 (math HL =))), I got decent IGCSE scores, but my SAT scores were **** (1940). Im writing the SAT again and i am pretty confident for a 2100 +. Ive got neat extracurriculars - abrsm music, big competitions, science fairs, MUN etc. What more do I need? AND DO I NEED TO TAKE MATH HL?? The subject is damn hard for me, im particularly weak in math. Thanks alot Regards Reply
the_count
if you do bad at math hl you wont get accepted to engineering courses because in engineering they look specifically at math and physics (they dont care about humanities but it is a good bonus)hope it helps. timtamboy63
Yeah, at least pull the math grade to a 5. You'll definitely need better SATs, and don't forget to do some subject SATs, I think the UCs require 2? I'd reccomend Math 2 and Physics Reply
bomaha
You need to take Math HL. If you're weak in math, how did you consider going to an engineering school? And you chose berkeley! You must improve your grades and get at least a 6 in math HL.Also, you need to improve your SAT mark. Reply
