Keel
I was wondering whether or not a data logging experiment is mandatory to submit in the IB since one of my teachers says yes and the other says no...You will always need to have a set of results in order to do a DCP in both subjects. So yes, if you meant do we have to collect results and process them.If you meant data logging equipment e.g. a data logger, I cannot speak for physics but the answer is no for chemistry. Nowhere on the mark schemes does it say to penalise for not using data logging equipment. You will be awarded points according to the quality of your data processing, not the nature of the experiment which is bound to be imperfect in order to allow you to evaluate in your Conclusion and Evaluation.
