Proletariat
Do a little research on the publications, and see what sort of editorial stance they would have had during the time your articles were written. Political biases definitely could have an effect on the credibility of the source (I wouldn't read the National Post to find an objective opinion on corporate tax cuts, for example.) 1 Reply

I am totally lost (((Hi, here are some questions which will help you answer the OPVL, these apply to any newspaper article:Origins:-Was the article written at the time or later?-What was the nationality of the journalist?-In which newspaper did the article appear?Purpose:-Was it an interpretation of events at the time?-Did it provide political comment for readers about particular events or polices?-Was it propaganda?-If published in another country is it a positive or negative comments which reflects that country'es opinion?Value:-A reflection of public opinion at the time in one of the countries involved?-Insightful analysis of events and policies?Limitation:-Biased?-Opinionated?-Does not show the evidence to support assertions?-Reflecting uniformed public opinion?Just some ideas which may be relevant to your newspaper article. 1 Reply
