Just be careful using them in more formal righting, as most are generally used in a more casual context. They are fantastic for diary entries, blogs, informal letters, etc but always check if an idiom is appropiate before using it in a formal letter, article etc. The document I have attached is a list of French proverbs/expressions, followed by the English equivilent and a literal Englsih translation.
