Chocaholic
Well,Its not quite as easy as just applying to law school and becoming a judge right after highschool. There's a couple of things you have to do first. First, you have to complete an undergraduate degree (like a bachelors degree) in a field of study. Do some research on various fields that you might like to major in, usually in the Arts faculty. Law schools tend to look positively on majors in the social sciences and humanities, although you can be accepted with a background in basically anything. (Check out this website. It's quite informative) Of course, if you want to get into a prestigious school (Like ivy league or something a.k.a. Harvard Law School) then you are going to have to work very hard during your undergraduate studies, maintain a high GPA, and excel on your LSAT. Oh and make sure you meet the requirements for your law school of choice in terms of courses Second, You LSAT is like the MCAT for law school. The LSAT is a standardized test on various subjects to assess your knowledge of topics and skills required in law school. You take this your last year of undergraduate studies. (Check out this website for more info). Then, you can finally apply to law school. So really the point of that was that you should be looking at undergraduate schools not Law schools (a type of graduate school). There's tons of information on what undergraduate schools accept IB credits EVERYWHERE online. Like no joke, its everywhere. Do some intense research and let google be your friend. Feel free to PM me if you have some more questions or whatever Oh and P.S. To become a judge you first have to have experience as a lawyer. 1 Reply
