MinaDoan
I am so excited about the subject selection for IB so..just can't wait until i see the principal of my new school =]] Can anyone explain for me is Computer Science the 7th subject. How do we choose it?? Is it the subject that we can choose for group 6 ?!? Edited August 18, 2010 by MinaDoan Reply
Summer Glau
No, computer science isn't a 7th subject. You choose it as a group 6 subject. Reply
MinaDoan
So that means we can choose Computer Science with Math ? Reply
Summer Glau
Yes. You must take math no matter what but you can take computer science alongside math. Reply
MinaDoan
One more question please :-)If I take Maths HL, does that mean Computer Science has to be HL too? Reply
Summer Glau
Not necessarily. You can take math SL or HL and computer science SL or HL. In other words, the level that you take computer science at doesn't depend on what level you take math at, and vice versa.Hope that didn't sound confusing Reply
MinaDoan
:-( Really ..vice-versa!?! Anw, that helps! thank you {=^.^=} Reply
Summer Glau
Lol Vice versa means basically the other way around. So in this case, it also means that whatever math level you take doesn't depend on what level you take computer science at. Note: Check if your school offers computer science and check what level they offer it at, if you want to take it in IB.No problem, and good luck with IB 1 Reply
