Key dates of the volunteer recruitment process

27 July 2010 Online applications open for pre-identified applicants for specialist roles – for example doctors, sports specialists, doping control officers and press operations staff. Applications also open for special interest groups such as 3,500 Personal Best graduates and members of a number of pre-identified disability organisations.

This is also an opportunity for those interested in the generalist roles to find out if they have what it takes to be a Games Maker via a new section on this website.

Recruitment also starts on this date for the Mayor’s London Volunteers scheme.

15 September 2010 Online applications open to the public for generalist roles and continue for specialist roles – so if you have the necessary skills or qualifications to fill a specialist role but weren’t pre-identified, you can apply now.

Please note: we will not review any applications until the deadline has passed, so those who apply from 27 July will have no advantage over those who apply from 15 September.
