Bad IA mark

I did REALLY badly on my Chemistry lab mark (20/48) and I was wondering what would be the highest mark I can get? I asked my teacher and she said a level 6 but would that only apply if I got a level 7 on all 3 papers?

Well the marks are liable to change, so it's really hard to predict.

For example, you teacher's marks might be seen as too hard, so everyone gets some padding.

Or it might be more complicated and the moderators might think that she graded the ones that got the best scores too easily and the ones that got the worst scores too harshly. In that case, there would be different adjustments.

If I were you, I wouldn't be too optimistic, but I'd really try to do my hardest and not give up.

For exact numbers, I don't know what to tell you. I don't know how much the mark boundaries thread would help you.

Assuming that your IA score does not decrease drastically - you can still even get a 7 if you get really high scores on the 3 exam papers.

IAs are only 24 % of the total mark, so don't get too worried. But if you really need a good grade in chemistry, you'd better priotise it. But the game is not lost yet, far from it.
