Your favourite meal/dish/recipe...?

I thought it was time to create a place where everyone can share his/her favourite meals etc, if applicable with recipe? Would be great to have some stuff from different cultures in here, too

To start it off, here a culinary delicacy from Austria:

Cabbage Strudel ("Krautstrudel")

chop up 1 cabbage and cook for about half an hour, add 2 (or if you like, more) chopped carrots and a vegetable stock cube after about 15 mins. Get rid of the water that's left and place the filling on puff pastry which you then "stick" together at the top. Preheat oven to about 160° and bake strudel undel golden (about 30-45 mins)
