kjeo Posted July 3, 2009 Report Share Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) Well next year I'm going to be in gr11 IB and I was wondering from people who have already been in the software engineering program or people that just know about it approximately what the cutoff score is.Right now I basically got through not doing much work (yes I know that wasn't a good idea) but understanding all the concepts but just not working much because it was a bit too easy.I'm getting 90s in ICS (computer programming) in a school that is well known for its programming.Mid 80s in Math (keep in mind that i wasn't trying but i predict mid 90s for the next years).And everything else basically in the range of mid 80s to mid 90s.I was relaxing after all my friends who applied got into Waterloo math and from hearing talk that it was in fact not that difficult to get into.So I came here for more thoughts. __inthemaking Posted July 3, 2009 Report Share Posted July 3, 2009 Your marks should be fine to get into soft eng at Loo - the cutoff is mid 80s. However, make sure you have programming experience because they do ask for that when you fill in your AIF and I think also writing the Euclid contest is recommended.
