Psychodynamic P.

I'm getting quite confused and lost on certain aspects.

1. If we were to connect one assumption with one key concept or empirical study, what would I use?

2. What are the assumptions of Psychodynamic P.?

3. What is the free will/determinism stance for this perspective?

4. The only methodology is case studies, yeah? And the only main empirical study being Anna O. and Little Hans?

Guidance with even just one question would be very helpful.

THANKS.

1. i have no idea.

2. psychic determinism; behavior is motivated by interior drives; different parts of the unconscious mind are in a constant struggle; personality is shaped as drives are modified.

3. psychic determinism: all behavior has a cause/reason in the unconscious.

4. methodologies: case studies, free association, dream analysis, projective tests; studies: batesman and holmes (therapy for depression), erikson (psychosocial stages), jung (archetypes- preconscious psychic disposition), adler (inferiority complex), freud (little hans)

hope that halps. im still thinking about number one.

and by the way, this website has a lot of information needed on the IB tests: http://cranepsych.com/Psych/index.html
