faith
I just got the results of my first internal oral back a while ago and my mark is 25/30. I saw it in the mark boundary section that a 7 is between 26 and 30. Does that mean it is now impossible for me to get a 7 in English? Or can I compensate by getting better marks in the other areas, such as the world lit essay? Reply
Abu
Your final grade is a combination of all the aspects of the English A1 assessment. If that was a practice, you can definitely improve on it when you get to the final oral. The components of the final grade are: The oral, the WL essay(s), paper 1 and paper 2. The oral means both the IOC and the IOP. So even if you get a 6, you can compensate by a higher grade in the other sections. Reply

So, take heart [/quote] For internal assesments that almost never changes (unless the syllabus changes). For english the boundary for 7 has remained 26 since almost like the last 5 years. To OP: It would still be possible to get a 7 even if u got a 4 on your orals...its all weight factored and aggregated in the end so the individual component levels dont matter. __inthemaking
The final exam is worth the most of your final mark, if you do well on your final exam it's very possible to still get a 7. Reply
~Lc~
don't forget, you might get marked down Reply
eankeel
don't get down just because you haven't got a seven in your IOP. Admittedly it is harder now because IOP is easy to get marks in but you can easily make up for it by getting 7 in other area. Good luck Don't forget, if your teacher is marked harshly, it may move up at the end when it gets moderated Reply
