Maurice Ravel
I have a 2100 SAT score, a possible 40/45 on my IB diploma, a Performer's ARCT in piano and a few EC music theory credits. I go to the gym every week to train, I do swimming and I am joining track and field. I'm in band and a small jazz ensemble. I have won a few math contests and music competitions. I perform very often and I have good supplementary material if asked for. I will also have a decent bit of volunteer hours. I always wanted to go to an Ivy League, but the problem is that I don't have many leadership activities which are crucial. What American universities can I get into? If I apply to 15 famous ones (including all Ivies, Stanford, Berkeley, etc), do you think I will get into at least one of them? Mike
Most likely you will. You seem very well rounded, which is something they look for. How are your grades? Ivies want all of what you have so far PLUS perfect grades. Reply

My IB average would be a 40 minimum I think. My school average is an 87, which is an A- in Canada. Our school's really competitive though. We have a LOOONG history of people with 70's in math and French who wound up with 7's in both subjects because the teachers tend to be either too picky or difficult.
