dayk1 0
I am thinking of analysing the graphic novel, "Persepolis" for my HL essay. However, I am unsure of whether or not I would be able to include panels themselves from the book in my actual essay. I want to give the examiner clear context but would this affect my grade/is this allowed? Reply
louisa03 1
To be honest in this case I think you would probably have to for it to make sense. But I'm not sure how well you would do on an essay based on a graphic novel - is there no way you can just base it on a normal novel with more words? That way your analysis might be a bit more in-depth and linked to the actual language used. That being said, examiners might like this creative choice - I just think it's quite risky and I would steer clear of a graphic novel for this task. Reply
