moe23
hey everyone, i have this lab to do and the problem is that when finding the uncertainty for concentration, i only have the uncertainty available for volume, not for moles since C=n/V. So, my question is: does my uncertainty for concentration equal the uncertainty of the volume or do i have to do something else??? thanks for any help .... moneyfaery
How did you find the number of moles? Via mass? Then you have some sort of uncertainty. Reply
IBdoc
n = m/M The mass has an uncertainty (I assume you used a balance to find it). Therefore, uncertainty of n = uncertainty of m/M (M being the constant here) Hence, you can say that uncertainty of C = uncertainty of n/uncertainty of V Reply
