Jakebert
Hi, So I had a meeting with my History teacher today, and she said that I didn't have to change my research question, but she was concerned that in the future it might a little bit broad. Could someone help me and tell me what I could do to make it more specific? My question is: To what extent did Great Britain cause the 1947-1948 Arab-Israeli war? The time frame stops before Isreal's independence. Her argument was that Great Britain had so much going on at that point that it would be too broad. I see where she's coming from, but I think it's too specific to say "To what extent did (specific action of Great Britain) cause the war?" Comments? Thanks! Hyperbole
I don't know much about this topic, but could you narrow it down to Britain's foreign policy or something along those lines? Or maybe just change the phrasing of the question; "to what extent" formulations have the implication that the extent to which other things caused the war will be analysed also, which is what makes it a bit broad. Good luck! Reply
