What to wear to University Interviews?

Oxford interviewers told us they didn't care what we wore. Obviously you shouldn't look like a hobo but you shouldn't try too hard either as it may be interpreted as compensating for a deficient intellect ;P. Dress whatever you are comfortable in, they are interested in what you have to say and you are far more likely to say quality stuff if you can breathe properly and don't have an uncomfortable itch somewhere.

That said, semi-formal, business casual is good. I wouldn't wear a tie but that's cause they're uncomfortable for me but w/e.

I've done my interview with Otago University in November 2008. I just wear my national clothe. You can view the picture by clicking the link below.

I also wearing a coat to make it more smart. It goes well and the interviewer do not mind. Dr. Brunton is just nice. NZ applicants might have know him.
