Kevin Chan
I am currently doing my Biology IA. I calculated the Mitotic index of six onion root tips for five different areas from top to bottom: root cap, mitotiz zone, elongation zone, and maturation zone. Now, I want to use a statistical test to show that there is a general significant difference between the five groups' mitotic index. I decided that an ANOVA (One-way analysis of variance) test will be approriate because it calculates differences between more than 2 groups of data. However, I don't know if IB will allow me to use this test because i heard IB may have restrictions on what kind of statistical test students can use. Does anyone know if such rule exist? If it does exist, then what other statistical tests maybe approriate for my IA? Thank you Reply
