Orangeade
Hey everyone! This is my first post on this forum. Anyway, I am currently searching for a topic in the area of sound. I already thought of a number of topics, but my supervisor and me came up with the following topic: An investigation about how air pressure affects the speed of sound. However, we found out that one could encounter difficulties in a practical experiment measuring the change of speed of sound when air pressure is changed (one would need at least a 5m long container whose air pressure could be changed). Also I'm concerned that the topic might be too narrow or have already been covered too much. What do you think of this? Can you think of any other topics concerning sound? Thanks for your help! kw0573
If pressure is too difficult to change, maybe you can change the temperature instead and use a liquid medium rather than air. Reply

I'll talk to my supervisor about that. Thanks! Reply
