Hui Qi
I'll be starting IB August this year. I had chosen English Lang.&Lit. for Group 1. I initially planned to take Mandarin A and get a bilingual diploma. However, my school will not offer Mandarin A class(which is a huge disappointment) but only Mandarin B. My mother tongue is Mandarin and I have studied it for more than 10 years, thus Mandarin B will be very easy for me. Spanish ab initio is another option for me, which means I have to learn a new language. Should I go with Mandarin B which will not be challenging but I will most probably score well, or take Spanish ab initio? Which choice would look better for university admission? Thanks!
